Who is Zirconium?

Zirconium is a fresh new quartet from Little Rock singing a variety of styles from Barbershop and Doo-Wop, to Religious and Patriotic songs. Within four months after they registered as a quartet, Zirconium became the NE Division Novice Quartet Champions (SPEBSQSA*) outscoring half of the seasoned quartets in the field and racking up enough points to go on to the next level of competition.

But winning is the icing on the cake for these harmonizers.  These guys just love to sing.  When they decided to compete it was on the condition that they not lose sight of their main goals which were to ring good chords, enjoy the art and entertain their audiences. Oh, and they enjoy a good laugh too.

Zirconium's members are Jim Morris (lead), Jim Linsley (Bass), Mark Carter (Tenor) and Mark Hotchkiss (Baritone). Yes, that's right! Jim, Jim, Mark and Mark.

Although Jim and Jim have been singing barbershop for several years, Mark and Mark were introduced to this style of singing only a few years ago.

Mark is an accomplished pianist whereas Mark has the uncanny ability to retain old songs and trivia in his mind that others never knew existed.  Then there's Jim who is the straight man and then there's Jim who isn't at all. Jim, Jim, Mark and Mark have all been interested in music all their lives. Mark sings at weddings, Jim in choir, Mark in musicals and Jim in front of the kitchen sink drying dishes. All in all it can become very confusing, and comical. Whatever the case, you are sure to come away humming a tune with a big smile on your face.

Where Zirconium Performs

Zirconium has performed for events before thousands of people as well as for smaller intimate gatherings.  Venues have included stints from stadium, business convention, or community show to restaurants and businesses for anniversaries, birthday parties and holiday or special occasions.  Shortly after they won the Novice Quartet Championship in 2002, Zirconium performed as the Headline act for the Fort Smith SPEBSQSA Annual Show. Zirconium also appears as regulars on shows presented by the Diamond State Chorus.

In addition to performing at Silver Dollar City, in Branson, Missouri, Zirconium has performed at many locations across the state of Arkansas.  Some of those cities include Fort Smith to Hot Springs, to Cherokee Village, Clinton, the Greater Little Rock area and others. More events and venues are already scheduled for the future, but availability is limited so get your reservation in today.
